Solubility: slightly soluble in water, poorly soluble in ethanol. The solubility varies greatly with temperature. At 0℃, the solubility is 0.36g, and at 50℃ it is 3.3g. If KCl or other potassium salts are added, the solubility is even lower.

Preparation

Potassium perrhenate is produced by dissolving potassium hydroxide or potassium carbonate with perrhenic acid.

Application

1. Used for the preparation of pure rhenium;

2. Used as an analytical reagent (spectral analysis);

3. Used as an oxidant.

It should be stored separately from flammable (combustible) materials and reducing agents, and should not be mixed. The storage area should be equipped with appropriate materials to contain leaks.
