Crystal structure: It has a chalcogenide-type crystal structure, in which zinc ions (Zn²⁺) and tin ions (Sn⁴⁺) together occupy the B-site in the chalcogenide structure, and oxygen ions (O²-) form a face-centred cubic lattice.
Solar cells: In solar cells, ZTO films can be used as transparent conductive electrodes that can effectively collect solar energy and convert it into electricity.
Flat panel displays: Because ZTO films have high transmittance and low resistivity, they can be used in thin film transistors (TFTs) in flat panel displays to improve the display’s performance in terms of resolution, contrast and response speed.
Touch screen: In touch screen technology, targets can be used to prepare the conductive layer of touch sensors, to achieve accurate sensing of touch operation.
Other fields: targets can also be used in light-emitting diodes (LEDs), electronic paper.
