Application

Steel and non-ferrous alloys: as an additive to steel and non-ferrous alloys, it can enhance the oxidation resistance and ductility of stainless steel, improve the comprehensive performance of alloys, and increase the electrical conductivity of alloys, etc. For example, the addition of yttrium to Fecr alloys, MB26 alloys, Al-Zr alloys, and copper alloys can optimize the performance of the alloys.

In the field of electronics industry, yttrium metal is used in the manufacture of yttrium phosphor in the electronics industry, which produces red color in TV screens; it can also be used as functional materials such as X-ray filters; it is also an important material in the manufacture of thin film capacitors and fluorescent screens for electron microscopes.
