Yttria-Stabilized Zirconia powder is a multiphase ceramic material made by doping part of zirconium oxide (ZrO₂) with yttria (Y₂O₃). Due to its excellent high-temperature conductivity, thermal stability and mechanical properties, YSZ has become a key material in the fields of solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) electrolytes, plasma spray thermal barrier coatings, high-strength ceramic materials, etc.

Application

Solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC): Yttria-Stabilized Zirconia powder is an electrolyte material with excellent oxygen ion conductivity at high temperatures and is the core functional layer of SOFC.

Thermal Barrier Coatings (TBC): In aircraft engines and gas turbines, Yttria-Stabilized Zirconia powder is used for surface coatings to effectively insulate and improve the thermal life of components.

Structural Ceramics: Yttria-Stabilized Zirconia powder is widely used in high-performance engineering ceramics such as cutting tools, bearings, pumps and valves due to its high strength and thermal shock resistance.

Packaging and Storage

Yttria-Stabilized Zirconia powder is packaged in vacuum-sealed bottles and is available in different packaging specifications such as 50g/100g/500g/1kg/5kg, which can be customized according to customer needs. Large quantities are packaged in 25kg barrels and fixed with standard pallets.

Yttria-Stabilized Zirconia powder should be stored in a sealed container at room temperature to avoid moisture absorption and away from strong acids, alkalis and volatile solvents. It is recommended to reseal the container after opening to prevent powder agglomeration.
