Tungsten Rhenium Alloy target is a material with important applications in many high-tech fields.

Basic Information

Main components: WRe targets are composed of two elements: tungsten (W) and rhenium (Re).
Dimensions: WRe targets are sized according to the specific needs of the application and the equipment used.
Shape: Generally disc shaped, this shape is suitable for use in sputtering equipment and is easy to mount and rotate for uniform material deposition.
Density: The high density of WRe targets is due to the inherent high density properties of tungsten and rhenium. For example, tungsten has a density of approximately 19.3 g/cm³, and rhenium has a density of approximately 21.02 g/cm³.

Areas of application

Thin film deposition: Tungsten Rhenium Alloy targets are widely used for thin film deposition in electronics and semiconductor manufacturing. WRe is deposited on the surface of semiconductor chips, circuit boards or electronic components by means of physical vapour deposition techniques such as sputtering or electron beam evaporation, and WRe films can be used as conductive, diffusion-barrier or contact layers.

High-temperature electronics: Because of their high melting point and thermal stability, Tungsten Rhenium Alloy targets can be used to make high-temperature electronic components. In some electronic equipment that needs to work in a high temperature environment, such as aerospace, military and other fields of electronic components, WRe materials can ensure the normal operation of the components at high temperatures, improve the performance and reliability of the equipment.

Wear-resistant coating: WRe targets can be used to deposit wear-resistant coatings on the surface of materials. By depositing WRe coatings on the surfaces of cutting tools, moulds and other mechanical parts, the wear resistance of the parts can be improved and their service life can be extended.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

VI HALBLEITERMATERIAL GmbH (VIMATERIAL) employs a stringent quality assurance system to ensure the reliability of our product quality. Strict quality control is implemented throughout the entire production chain, and for defective products, we strictly enforce the principle of rework and redo. Each batch is released only after passing detailed specification tests.

Every batch of our materials is independently tested, and, if necessary, we send samples to certified companies for testing. We provide these documents and analysis certificates with the shipment to certify that our products meet the required standards.
