Tungsten Oxide – Copper Oxide target is a kind of composite oxide target, which has important applications in the fields of material science, electronics, optics and sensors.

Basic Information

Composition: Composed of tungsten trioxide (WO₃) and copper oxide (CuO), it is a binary composite oxide. Two
Crystal structure: WO₃ has a variety of crystal structures, common orthorhombic crystal system and monoclinic crystal system structure.CuO belongs to monoclinic crystal system structure. In WO₃ – CuO composite targets, the crystal structures of the two oxides interact with each other, and there may be lattice distortions, interfacial interactions and other phenomena.
Appearance: Generally black or dark brown lumps or discs, the colour mainly depends on the content of WO₃ and CuO and the preparation process.

Application Fields

Thin film transistor (TFT): In TFT manufacturing, Tungsten Oxide – Copper Oxide film can be used as the active layer material. Due to its unique electrical properties, it can achieve effective control of the current, which is expected to improve the performance of TFT, such as switching speed, mobility and stability.

Conductive films and electrode materials: Conductive films and electrode materials can be prepared. Tungsten Oxide – Copper Oxide is deposited on the surface of electronic components by physical vapour deposition to form a conductive layer, which is used to connect circuits or as an electromagnetic shielding material.

Optical films and coatings: Used in the manufacture of optical films and coatings, such as the deposition of WO₃ – CuO films on the surface of solar photovoltaic cells, as an anti-reflective coating or light absorption enhancement layer, to improve the photoelectric conversion efficiency of the battery.

Photocatalytic applications: Based on its photocatalytic properties, Tungsten Oxide – Copper Oxide targets can be used to prepare photocatalytic reactors or photocatalytic coatings. In the field of environmental purification, they can be used to degrade organic pollutants in the air, such as formaldehyde, benzene, etc., or treat organic dyes, heavy metals and other pollutants in industrial wastewater.
