What’s the application of Ti3SiC2?

Because it has a lower friction coefficient and good self-lubricating properties than graphite and molybdenum disulfide (MoS2), it can be used for sliding parts in the machinery industry, such as sliding rings, bearings, self-lubricating bearings, and high-temperature resistant bearings used in oxidizing atmospheres.

Titanium silicon carbide can be used for sliding electrical contact parts in electromechanical engineering, such as pantograph slides, electrodes, brush materials, commutators of micromotors, electrical contacts, etc.

Titanium silicon carbide can be used in the electronics industry as electronic packaging radiators, lead frames, etc.
