Titanium Aluminum Vanadium Tin Alloy (Ti-6Al-6V-2Sn) is a high-strength, heat-treatable titanium alloy widely used in aerospace and industrial applications.

VIMATERIAL has earned the trust of a wide range of customers with its exceptional quality, comprehensive product range, and attentive service. Our products are exported worldwide and enjoy an excellent reputation. Committed to integrity and quality first, we warmly welcome customers to inquire and collaborate with us.

Basic composition of Ti-6Al-6V-2Sn

Titanium (Ti): Basic element.

Aluminium (Al): ~6% to increase strength and reduce weight.

Vanadium (V): ~6% to enhance hardenability and corrosion resistance.

Tin (Sn): ~2% to improve creep resistance and stability at high temperatures.

Performance of Ti-6Al-6V-2Sn

High strength: excellent strength-to-weight ratio.

Good heat resistance: performs well at elevated temperatures, typically up to 842°F (450°C).

Corrosion Resistance: Excellent corrosion resistance in a variety of environments, including marine and chemical exposures.

Toughness: Maintains ductility and toughness even under stress.

Weldability: Medium weldability, requiring specific processes and post-weld heat treatment.

Applications of Ti-6Al-6V-2Sn

1. Aerospace: Because of its light weight, high strength, and corrosion resistance, titanium alloys are often used as aircraft structural components, engine parts, and so on.

2. Automotive field: the application of titanium alloy in automobile manufacturing mainly focuses on reducing body weight, improving fuel efficiency and safety performance. At present, many luxury models have adopted titanium alloys for exhaust pipes, braking systems, transmissions and other parts.

3. Medical field: Because titanium alloy has the advantages of biocompatibility and corrosion resistance, it is often used in the manufacture of human bones, joints and other implants.

Quality control

Our products implement the most stringent quality management system. There are strict inspection standards for incoming materials, processes, final inspections, and factory inspections. Strict isolation measures will be adopted for unqualified processing to prevent unqualified products from flowing into the next process. Samples will be provided to customers according to customer requirements for re-inspection.

Packaging and storage

Usually vacuum packed internally and carton packed externally, it can also be packaged according to customer needs.

When storing Ti-6Al-6V-2Sn, you first need to choose a dry, ventilated and alkaline gas-free storage environment to ensure that the quality of the powder is not affected by moisture, contamination, oxidation reactions and other harmful effects. At the same time, room temperature needs to be maintained during storage and large temperature fluctuations should be avoided to maintain the stability of the chemical properties and particle size of the powder.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

VI HALBLEITERMATERIAL GmbH (VIMATERIAL) employs a stringent quality assurance system to ensure the reliability of our product quality. Strict quality control is implemented throughout the entire production chain, and for defective products, we strictly enforce the principle of rework and redo. Each batch is released only after passing detailed specification tests.

Every batch of our materials is independently tested, and, if necessary, we send samples to certified companies for testing. We provide these documents and analysis certificates with the shipment to certify that our products meet the required standards.
