Tin Telluride powder is a grey, sodium chloride-type structure of tin and tellurium with some covalent bonding composition of IV – VI narrow bandgap semiconductor compounds, commonly used in infrared detectors, thermoelectric materials, solar cells, topological quantum computation, optoelectronic devices and other fields.

Properties

Composition and chemical formula: the chemical formula is SnTe, composed of two elements, tin (Sn) and tellurium (Te), is a compound semiconductor material.

Stability: Relatively stable at room temperature and pressure, but avoid light, open flame, high temperature and other conditions to prevent changes. It can react chemically with some substances under certain conditions, but its chemical properties are relatively less active.

Appearance: usually presents grey crystalline powder.

Density: Density is 6.48 g/cm³.

Melting point: high melting point, about 780℃-790℃.

Applications
