Tin Silver Copper Alloy shot is a mixture of tin, silver and copper in small particles, usually used in a variety of industrial applications such as metal injection moulding, munitions manufacturing, surface coating and other industrial applications.
Characteristics
Appearance: metallic solid, available in various forms such as pellets, plates, rods, sheets, sputtering targets, powders, etc.
Melting point: 217 – 218°C
Density: 7.38 g/cm³
Solubility in water: insoluble in water.
Applications
Soldering material:
In the electronics industry, Tin Silver Copper Alloy is used as a lead-free solder for soldering electronic components on circuit boards. Tin-silver-copper alloy has a relatively low melting point, good wettability and conductivity, which ensures a reliable connection between electronic components, such as in the manufacture of smart phones, computer motherboards and other electronic products.
Tin Silver Copper Alloy is used in the welding of metal parts, for example, in machinery manufacturing, automotive manufacturing and other industries, for welding various metal structural parts, pipes and so on. It can melt at a lower temperature, reducing the thermal impact on the base material and ensuring the quality and strength of the welded joints.
Surface treatment:
In metal surface treatment, tin silver copper alloy pellets can be used as shot blasting material. Through high-speed spraying to the metal surface, it can remove the surface dirt, rust and oxidation layer, and at the same time make the metal surface produce compressive stress, improve the surface hardness, fatigue strength and corrosion resistance. For example, surface treatment of aerospace components, bridge steel structures, etc. to extend their service life.
Used in the plating and coating of metals as an additive to improve the performance of the plating or coating. For example, the addition of tin silver copper alloy in the plating process can improve the hardness, abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance of the plated layer, which is applied to the surface plating of automotive parts and hardware tools.
Jewellery manufacturing: due to the fact that tin silver copper alloy has certain aesthetic and good processing performance, it can be used to make various kinds of jewellery, such as necklaces, bracelets, rings and so on. Through different processing techniques, such as casting, forging, inlay, etc., it can be made into exquisite jewellery products.
Craft production: Tin Silver Copper Alloy is used to make various metal crafts, such as sculptures, ornaments, badges and so on. The plasticity and processability of tin-silver-copper alloy enable it to meet the requirements of shape, detail and texture in craft production, while its unique metallic colour also adds artistic value to the crafts.
Brazing material: In the refrigeration, electromechanical and mechanical industries, it is used to braze components and parts of similar or dissimilar metals, such as copper, nickel, steel, logging alloys and so on. The low vapour pressure and good infiltration of this alloy can form strong joints in the brazing process, ensuring the reliability and stability of the equipment.
VI HALBLEITERMATERIAL GmbH (VIMATERIAL) employs a stringent quality assurance system to ensure the reliability of our product quality. Strict quality control is implemented throughout the entire production chain, and for defective products, we strictly enforce the principle of rework and redo. Each batch is released only after passing detailed specification tests.
Every batch of our materials is independently tested, and, if necessary, we send samples to certified companies for testing. We provide these documents and analysis certificates with the shipment to certify that our products meet the required standards.
