Thulium fluoride powder is a rare earth metal fluoride powder that is usually white or slightly light green, has certain chemical stability and special optical properties, and plays an important role in the fields of laser technology, optical fibers, and upconversion luminescent materials.

VIMATERIAL provides Thulium Fluoride powder in various specifications and supports target binding service. We accept customization of products, contact us.

Properties

Molecular Formula: TmF₃

Molecular weight: 225.929

Appearance: White powder

Melting point: 1158°C

Boiling point: 2200°C

Crystal structure: It has the crystal structure of hexagonal crystal system, in its crystal, Tm³⁺ and F- are combined through ionic bond, and F- forms a specific spatial arrangement around Tm³⁺.

Application

Laser field: TmF₃ powder can be used to prepare high-performance Tm³⁺-doped laser crystals and glasses with excellent performance in 2μm band laser output, which are widely used in laser medicine, optical communication and laser ranging.

Optical fiber field: TmF₃ powder is added to optical fiber as a dopant, which can effectively achieve light amplification in the 1.8 – 2.1 μm band, greatly improving the transmission distance and efficiency of optical communication systems.

Magnetic materials: Tm³⁺ ions in TmF₃ powder have unpaired electrons, which gives it a unique magnetic behavior in the study of magnetic materials, and can be used to develop new magnetic storage and magneto-optical materials.

Ceramic materials field: TmF₃ powder can be used as an additive in the preparation of ceramic materials, which can improve the sintering properties, mechanical properties and optical properties of ceramics, and enhance the comprehensive quality of ceramic materials.

Quality Control

Each batch of products strictly guards the quality, from the selection of raw material suppliers, to the use of advanced testing equipment to accurately monitor the entire production process, to the finished product through many rounds of harsh sampling and third-party authoritative certification, to all-round, zero-tolerance quality control system to ensure that each batch of products meets and exceeds the industry’s high standards, to provide our customers with the best quality and most stable products.

Packaging and Storage

Thulium fluoride powder is packed in vacuum bag or vacuum bottle in carton to ensure safe transportation.

Thulium fluoride powder should be stored in sealed containers in a dry, cool, well-ventilated and temperature-stable environment, while avoiding contact with acids, alkalis and strong oxidizing substances, in order to prevent chemical reactions leading to deterioration.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

VI HALBLEITERMATERIAL GmbH (VIMATERIAL) employs a stringent quality assurance system to ensure the reliability of our product quality. Strict quality control is implemented throughout the entire production chain, and for defective products, we strictly enforce the principle of rework and redo. Each batch is released only after passing detailed specification tests.

Every batch of our materials is independently tested, and, if necessary, we send samples to certified companies for testing. We provide these documents and analysis certificates with the shipment to certify that our products meet the required standards.
