Production process.
Preparation of raw materials: high-purity tantalum ore or tantalum waste is selected as raw materials, and after beneficiation, purification and other processes to remove the impurities, to obtain high-purity tantalum metal raw materials.
Smelting: The purified tantalum metal raw material is put into a high-temperature furnace for smelting, which usually adopts the methods of electron beam smelting, vacuum arc smelting and so on.
Ingot casting: The melted tantalum metal liquid is poured into moulds for ingot casting, so that it cools and solidifies into tantalum ingots.
Areas of application.
Electronic industry: Tantalum ingot is one of the important materials for manufacturing electronic components, such as capacitors, resistors, inductors and so on.
Aerospace: Due to its high temperature and corrosion resistance as well as good mechanical properties, tantalum ingot can be used to manufacture parts in the aerospace field, such as the thermal protection layer of aircraft engines, nozzles of rocket engines, etc.
Chemical industry: it can be used to manufacture corrosion-resistant parts in chemical equipment, such as reactors, pipelines, valves and so on. In strong corrosive chemical media, tantalum ingots can effectively prevent corrosion and damage to the equipment.
