Ruthenium metal powder is a grey, high melting point, high boiling point, high hardness, good electrical conductivity and chemically stable precious transition metal powder, which has a wide range of applications in catalysts, the electronics industry, cemented carbide and many other fields.

Appearance: usually a grey powdery solid.
Density: Ruthenium has a high density of approx. 12370 kg/m3.
Hardness: relatively hard, Mohs hardness 6.5.
Melting point: high melting point of approx. 2334°C (2607 K), which means that a high temperature is required to melt it.
Boiling point: Boiling point is about 4150°C (4423K).
Electrical Conductivity: Good electrical conductivity, among the more excellent conductive materials in the metal.
Thermal conductivity: high thermal conductivity, can effectively transfer heat, about 117 watts / (metre・kelvin).
Magnetism: It has magnetic properties and is subject to magnetic force in a magnetic field.
Ductility: It is less ductile when cold, but can be processed when heated to a certain temperature.
Stability: chemically stable, with good corrosion resistance, but can react with some chemical substances under certain conditions.
Applications
Catalyst field: ruthenium metal powder is an important catalyst that plays a key role in many chemical reactions, for example, it can be used as a multifunctional catalyst in Fischer-Tropsch synthesis and olefin complex decomposition reactions; in petroleum refining and chemical processes, ruthenium-based catalysts are able to effectively enhance the reaction efficiency and the quality of products.
Electronics industry: Ruthenium metal powders are used in the manufacture of resistor pastes, thick film resistor pastes and electrical contacts in electronic components for the production of chip resistors and so on. Due to its good conductivity and stability, it has an important application value in the electronics industry.
Cemented carbide industry: Ruthenium can be added to cemented carbides as an alloying element to improve the hardness, wear resistance and high temperature resistance of the alloy, and can be used in the manufacture of cutting tools, moulds and dies.
