Preparation

The preparation methods of potassium niobate mainly include solid phase method, sol-gel method, hydrothermal method, etc. Among them, the solid phase method is one of the most commonly used preparation methods. The specific steps are as follows:

Mix ammonium niobate and potassium carbonate evenly and put them in a furnace for heating.

In a nitrogen atmosphere, heat the mixture to above 1000℃ to react.

After cooling, crush and screen the product to obtain potassium niobate powder.

Applications

Potassium niobate has good electrical properties, so it is widely used in electronic devices, optoelectronic devices, acoustic wave devices and other fields. Potassium niobate can be used to prepare capacitors, piezoelectric ceramics, surface acoustic wave devices, etc. In addition, potassium niobate can also be used to prepare optical materials, catalysts, etc.
