Easily soluble in water. The solubility in 100g water is 53.5g (0℃), 65.2g (20℃), and 104.0g (100℃).
Its bromide ion can be replaced by fluorine and chlorine. It reacts with sulfuric acid to generate hydrogen bromide. Reacts with silver nitrate to form yellow silver bromide precipitate
