Nickel metal foil is a kind of metal wire with nickel as the main component, which has good electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance, ductility and high-temperature stability, and is widely used in electronics, chemical industry, aerospace and other fields.

VIMATERIAL provides Nickel metal wires. Our Nickel metal wires are high in purity, low in impurities, uniform and stable in diameter, high in corrosion resistance, good in electrical conductivity, excellent in mechanical properties and reasonably priced, which can be used in a wide range of applications. Our company has a professional technology research and development team, accept customisation and experiments, please contact us.

Physical properties

Molecular formula: Ni

Molecular weight: 58.6934

Appearance: Usually in the form of silver-white metallic luster flakes, with flat and smooth surface, without obvious defects.

Density: 8.908 g/cm³.

Melting point: 1453°C

Boiling point: 2732°C.

Crystal structure: face-centred cubic lattice structure. This crystal structure gives Ni foil good mechanical properties, electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance, making it useful in electronic and chemical applications.

Applications

Electronic and electrical appliances: Used as resistance wires, heating elements, etc. to take advantage of its good electrical conductivity and heat resistance, such as the heating wires in electric ovens.

Battery industry: Used as electrode material for nickel-metal hydride batteries, nickel-cadmium batteries, etc., participating in the charging and discharging process of batteries, such as common nickel-metal hydride rechargeable batteries.

Aerospace industry: used as connecting materials in some components, because of its high strength and corrosion resistance, to ensure the reliable operation of aviation equipment in complex environments.

Chemical industry: used in corrosion-resistant reaction devices as screens, stirrers and other components that can resist the erosion of a wide range of chemical substances, such as the screens in chemical reactors.

Quality control

Each batch of products strictly guards the quality, from the selection of raw material suppliers, to the use of advanced testing equipment to accurately monitor the entire production process, to the finished product through many rounds of harsh sampling and third-party authoritative certification, to ensure that each batch of products meets and exceeds the industry’s high standards with an all-round, zero-tolerance quality control system, to provide our customers with the best quality and most stable products.

Packaging and Storage

Nickel metal foil is packed in bundles and then wrapped in outer film and finally packed in cartons.

Nickel wire should be stored in a dry, ventilated and cool place, avoiding contact with humid air, strong acids and alkalis and strong oxidising agents, and can be packed in sealed packages or placed on shelves with protective measures to prevent oxidation and corrosion.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

VI HALBLEITERMATERIAL GmbH (VIMATERIAL) employs a stringent quality assurance system to ensure the reliability of our product quality. Strict quality control is implemented throughout the entire production chain, and for defective products, we strictly enforce the principle of rework and redo. Each batch is released only after passing detailed specification tests.

Every batch of our materials is independently tested, and, if necessary, we send samples to certified companies for testing. We provide these documents and analysis certificates with the shipment to certify that our products meet the required standards.
