Appearance: usually black or blue-grey crystalline material.

Crystal structure: Tetragonal crystal structure, belongs to laminated crystals.

Density: about 6.29 g/cm³.

Melting point: about 696°C.

Conductivity: metallic conductivity and strong anisotropy.

Applications

Semiconductor field:

Integrated circuit manufacturing: In the manufacturing process of semiconductor chips, it can be used to deposit thin films, e.g. as electrode materials for semiconductor devices or as connecting materials between semiconductor layers. Their unique electrical properties help improve the performance and stability of semiconductor devices, and are important for achieving high performance and miniaturisation of chips.

Semiconductor packaging: In the semiconductor packaging segment, it is used to form a variety of functional films on the surface of the chip, such as insulating films, conductive films, etc., which play a role in protecting the chip, improving the heat dissipation performance of the chip, and realising the role of electrical connection.

Optical field:

Optical Coating: can be used to manufacture optical films, such as anti-reflection film, transmittance enhancement film, etc.. These films can be applied to optical lenses, lenses, optical instruments and other equipment to improve the transmittance of optical components and reduce reflection, thereby improving the performance of the optical system. For example, indium telluride films can be coated on the lenses of digital cameras, telescopes, microscopes and other optical equipment to improve imaging quality.

Optoelectronic material preparation: It is used to prepare key materials in photodetectors, solar cells and other photoelectric conversion devices. Indium telluride has a suitable energy band structure, can effectively absorb and convert light energy, and has potential application value in the field of photoelectricity.

Display field:

Flat panel displays: In flat panel display technologies such as liquid crystal displays (LCDs) and organic light-emitting diode displays (OLEDs), indium telluride sputtering targets can be used to prepare electrode materials or other functional films for thin film transistors (TFTs). This helps to improve performance indicators such as resolution, contrast and response speed of displays.

Touchscreen manufacturing: It is used to deposit conductive films during the production of touchscreens to realise the touch-sensitive function of touchscreens. The good conductivity and stability of indium telluride make it one of the ideal materials for conductive films for touch screens.

Solar Cells: Indium telluride can be used as an absorber layer or electrode material in the manufacture of thin film solar cells. Its high photoelectric conversion efficiency and stability can improve the performance of solar cells and reduce the cost, which is of great significance in promoting the wide application of solar cells.

Other fields:

Wear-resistant coating: using its good wear resistance and chemical stability, prepare wear-resistant coatings on the surface of mechanical parts, cutting tools, etc. to improve their service life and wear resistance.

High-temperature and corrosion-resistant coatings: On equipment and parts working in high-temperature and corrosive environments, such as engine parts in the aerospace field and chemical equipment, indium telluride sputtering targets can be used to prepare high-temperature and corrosion-resistant coatings to protect the equipment from high temperatures and corrosive aggression.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

VI HALBLEITERMATERIAL GmbH (VIMATERIAL) employs a stringent quality assurance system to ensure the reliability of our product quality. Strict quality control is implemented throughout the entire production chain, and for defective products, we strictly enforce the principle of rework and redo. Each batch is released only after passing detailed specification tests.

Every batch of our materials is independently tested, and, if necessary, we send samples to certified companies for testing. We provide these documents and analysis certificates with the shipment to certify that our products meet the required standards.
