Indium Sulfide powder  is an important inorganic compound material.

Basic properties:

Chemical composition: composed of two elements, indium (In) and sulfur (S), with the chemical formula In₂S₃.
Appearance and colour: Usually yellow or orange-yellow.
Density and hardness: Density is about 4.9 – 5.0 g/cm³.
Crystal structure: In₂S₃ has three crystal structures, which are cubic, tetragonal and tripartite.
Bandwidth: With a bandwidth of 2.0 – 2.3 eV, ₃No₃ belongs to the narrow bandwidth semiconductor materials, which gives it a certain absorption and response capability in the visible light range.
Electrical Properties: As an n-conducting semiconductor material, it has a high electron mobility, which is important for electron transport and related electronic device applications.

Application fields:

Solar cells: Indium Sulfide powders can be used to prepare materials for buffer or absorber layers in solar cells. Due to its suitable forbidden band width and good optical properties, it can improve the solar cell’s absorption efficiency of sunlight, thus increasing the photoelectric conversion efficiency.

Light Emitting Diode (LED): In LED manufacturing, Indium Sulfide powder can be used as a light-emitting material or electron transport layer material. Based on its optical and electrical properties, the light-emitting wavelength, intensity and efficiency of LEDs can be adjusted by doping and optimising the process.

Photocatalytic reaction principle: The application of In₂S₃ powder in the field of photocatalysis is based on its ability to generate electron-cavity pairs under light.

Gas sensors: In₂S₃ powder has sensitive electrical and optical response properties to certain gases, and can be used to prepare gas sensors.
