Indium fluoride powder is a white crystalline, hygroscopic, inorganic compound in powder form at room temperature, which is mainly used in chemical reagents, fine chemicals, pharmaceutical intermediates, material intermediates and other fields.

Properties

Chemical formula: InF₃.

Density: 4.39g/cm³

Melting point: about 1170°C

Boiling point: approx. 1200°C

Appearance: white powder

Solubility: Insoluble in water, but soluble in hydrofluoric acid.

Stability: Relatively stable at room temperature and pressure, but avoid contact with strong corrosive substances such as strong acids and strong bases.

Other properties: Indium fluoride is hygroscopic and should be stored in a dry environment.

Applications

In the field of all-solid-state batteries: in all-solid-state sodium batteries, it can be used as a component of composite negative electrode materials. The alloy and composite conductive phase formed after the transformation reaction between indium fluoride and sodium metal can improve the affinity with electrolyte, improve the interfacial contact, and induce the uniform deposition of sodium ions, so as to achieve the stable and long cycle of all-solid-state sodium battery.

Chemical reagent: as an important chemical reagent, it can be used in the research and experiment of many kinds of chemical reactions, and provide basic materials for chemical analysis and synthesis.

Synthesis of fine chemicals: Participate in the synthesis process of fine chemicals, provide indium-containing fluoride components for the preparation of some special chemicals, and help develop fine chemicals with specific properties.

Pharmaceutical intermediates: In the pharmaceutical field, indium fluoride can be used as a pharmaceutical intermediate in the synthesis or research and development of certain drugs, providing specific chemical structures or functional groups for drug development.

Material intermediates: In the field of material science, they are used as intermediates in the preparation of indium-containing fluoride materials, which may have special optical, electrical or magnetic properties and can be applied to semiconductors, optical devices and other fields.
