Gallium Selenide particles are two-dimensional nanostructured compounds with a hexagonal layered structure, high purity (≥99.995%), and a suitable band structure (bandgap of about 2.1 eV) for use in semiconductors, optoelectronic devices, and nonlinear optics, and can be prepared by mechanical or liquid phase stripping.

Properties

Chemical formula: Ga₂Se₃.

Molecular weight: 376.326

Semiconductor properties: Gallium selenide is an important Ⅲ-Ⅵ semiconductor material with a suitable energy band structure and a band gap width of about 2.0 eV or so, which makes it valuable for applications in the field of optoelectronics, e.g., it can be used to make infrared detectors, solar cells and other devices.

Crystal structure: It has a layered structure with relatively weak bonding between layers. This structure allows gallium selenide to be prepared as a two-dimensional nanosheet structure by mechanical or liquid-phase stripping, etc. Gallium selenide with two-dimensional structure has unique electronic and optical properties.

Optical properties: strong absorption and emission of infrared light, which has potential applications in the field of infrared optics. In addition, gallium selenide has a high refractive index and can be used to prepare optical lenses, waveguides and other optical devices.

Applications

Electronic devices: it can be used to prepare electronic devices such as field effect transistors (FETs) and heterojunction bipolar transistors (HBTs). Gallium selenide has potential applications in high-frequency electronic devices due to its high carrier mobility, which enables high electron transfer speeds.

Solar cells: As a semiconductor material, gallium selenide can be used to prepare the absorber layer of solar cells. Its strong absorption of visible light can improve the photoelectric conversion efficiency of solar cells.

Infrared detectors: Due to its absorption and emission characteristics of infrared light, gallium selenide can be used to manufacture infrared detectors, which are widely used in military, security, aerospace and other fields.

Optical devices: as mentioned above, it can be used to prepare optical devices such as optical lenses and waveguides, as well as having potential applications in the field of nonlinear optics.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

VI HALBLEITERMATERIAL GmbH (VIMATERIAL) employs a stringent quality assurance system to ensure the reliability of our product quality. Strict quality control is implemented throughout the entire production chain, and for defective products, we strictly enforce the principle of rework and redo. Each batch is released only after passing detailed specification tests.

Every batch of our materials is independently tested, and, if necessary, we send samples to certified companies for testing. We provide these documents and analysis certificates with the shipment to certify that our products meet the required standards.
