Copper Metal powders are fine particles of copper monomers that have been crushed and processed to produce good electrical and thermal conductivity and chemical activity. They are mainly used in the electronics industry to make conductive pastes, in the chemical industry as catalysts, in metal injection moulding to make complex shaped copper products and in powder metallurgy to produce high-performance copper-based components.

Appearance: metallic powder with red lustre

Density: Relative density about 8.92 g/cm³ (water = 1)

Melting point: about 1083°C

Boiling point: about 2567°C

Crystal structure: face-centred cubic crystal structure. In the face-centred cubic structure, each copper atom is surrounded by 12 equidistant copper atoms, and this close-packed structure makes copper have good electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and ductility and other physical properties.

Applications

Electronics: Used in the manufacture of electronic components in the conductive paste, can achieve efficient conductive connections between tiny circuits, to enhance the performance of electronic equipment.

Powder Metallurgy: In the powder metallurgy process, it is a key raw material for the manufacture of copper-based components, which can be pressed and sintered to produce high-precision, high-performance mechanical components.

Chemical industry: It is used as a catalyst in a variety of chemical reactions, such as in organic synthesis, which can effectively accelerate the reaction process and improve the reaction efficiency.

3D printing technology: Copper Metal powders are important printing materials in metal 3D printing, and can be used to manufacture copper or copper alloy products with complex geometries.

New energy field: used as a component of electrode materials in the manufacture of batteries, it helps to improve the conductivity and charge/discharge performance of batteries.

Packaging and Storage

Copper Metal powders are packed in double vacuum bags or double vacuum bottles. The minimum packaging unit is 100g/bottle.

Copper Metal powders should be stored in a dry, cool, well-ventilated and well-sealed environment, away from fire, water and strong oxidising agents, and away from corrosive substances such as acids and alkalis, and preferably in containers protected against moisture and oxidation, e.g. by placing desiccants and inert gases.
