Copper Indium Alloy Sputtering Target is an alloy of copper and indium, mainly used in the sputtering process of physical vapour deposition, which is able to deposit thin films containing the elements copper and indium on the substrate, and plays a key role in electronics and photovoltaics.

VImaterial is able to offer high-purity and high-quality Copper Indium Alloy sputtering targets, which can be produced in customised ratios by our dedicated technical team. Our targets have excellent surface flatness and finish and we can also provide a binding service. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Physical Properties

Molecular formula: CuIn

Appearance: It usually has a metallic luster and may vary in colour between the purplish red of copper and the silvery grey of indium, depending on the proportion of copper and indium in the alloy.

Applications

Photovoltaic field: used in the preparation of copper indium gallium selenide (CIGS) and other thin-film solar cell absorber layer, can effectively improve the photoelectric conversion efficiency of the battery.

Electronic devices: In semiconductor manufacturing, copper-indium alloy films can be deposited by sputtering process as interconnecting materials between electronic components, which can help to improve the performance and integration of electronic devices.

Display field: It can be applied to the manufacture of display panels such as liquid crystal displays and organic light-emitting diode displays, and is used to form functional films such as transparent conductive films, which can improve the display effect and reduce energy consumption.

Optoelectronic field: such as in photodetectors, optical sensors and other optoelectronic devices, can be used as the key material for thin film deposition, to improve the device’s absorption of light and conversion efficiency, to enhance its optoelectronic performance.

Communication field: It can be used to manufacture high-frequency devices in communication equipments, forming copper-indium alloy thin film with specific properties through sputtering to meet the requirements of high-frequency signal transmission and processing, and improve the performance and reliability of communication equipments.

Quality control

Each batch of products will be inspected, our production process has a strict quality control system, from raw materials to the final inspection, each production link has self-inspection and re-inspection, and IPQC inspection. We also provide samples for customers to re-inspection, if the customer has a designated inspection organisation, we also support third party inspection and issue inspection reports.

Packaging and Storage

Copper Indium Alloy sputtering targets are usually packed in double vacuum bags.
Copper Indium Alloy sputtering targets should be stored in a dry, clean, cool and well-ventilated environment, avoiding moisture, oxidation, contamination with impurities and physical damage, and should be kept away from strong acids and alkalis and other corrosive substances.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

VI HALBLEITERMATERIAL GmbH (VIMATERIAL) employs a stringent quality assurance system to ensure the reliability of our product quality. Strict quality control is implemented throughout the entire production chain, and for defective products, we strictly enforce the principle of rework and redo. Each batch is released only after passing detailed specification tests.

Every batch of our materials is independently tested, and, if necessary, we send samples to certified companies for testing. We provide these documents and analysis certificates with the shipment to certify that our products meet the required standards.
