Application

Cemented carbide and cutting tools:Cobalt metal powder is the binder phase material for manufacturing tungsten carbide-based cemented carbide, which can significantly improve the toughness and wear resistance of the alloy. It is widely used in metal cutting, mining tools, drills and other workpieces under high load conditions.

Battery Materials:Cobalt metal powder is an important precursor of ternary anode materials (such as NCM, NCA) and lithium cobaltate for lithium-ion batteries. Its high electrochemical stability helps to improve the energy density and cycle life of the battery.

Magnetic Materials:Used in the manufacture of high-performance permanent magnetic materials, such as neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) and samarium-cobalt (SmCo) magnets. The addition of cobalt can enhance the coercivity and heat resistance of magnets, suitable for high temperature occasions.

Catalyst material: Cobalt metal powder is used as metal catalyst for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, ammonia oxidation and other reactions in the chemical industry. Its high specific surface area and dispersion can significantly improve the catalytic efficiency and service life.

Quality Control

VIMATERIAL strictly implements a quality management system to ensure the consistency and high standard of our products during the whole process of R&D, production, shipment and service. All batches have to pass the standardized tests before leaving the factory and any deviation is handled in accordance with the 8D procedure. We fully comply with international standards such as REACH and ASTM, and are committed to the construction of a sustainable and socially responsible supply chain.

Packaging and Storage

Cobalt metal powder in small quantity is packed in double vacuum bottles with outer carton. Large quantities are packed in drums with special aluminum foil bags, or customized packaging according to customer requirements.

Cobalt metal powder should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated environment to avoid moisture and oxidation. Prevent direct sunlight, keep away from acids, oxidizers and other reactants. Suggested storage temperature: 5-30°C, relative humidity < 50%.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

VI HALBLEITERMATERIAL GmbH (VIMATERIAL) employs a stringent quality assurance system to ensure the reliability of our product quality. Strict quality control is implemented throughout the entire production chain, and for defective products, we strictly enforce the principle of rework and redo. Each batch is released only after passing detailed specification tests.

Every batch of our materials is independently tested, and, if necessary, we send samples to certified companies for testing. We provide these documents and analysis certificates with the shipment to certify that our products meet the required standards.
