Applications of cerium oxide granules

Automobile exhaust treatment: In the automobile exhaust catalytic purification system, cerium oxide is used as a catalyst additive or carrier, using its oxygen storage capacity and redox properties to effectively reduce the emissions of carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC) and nitrogen oxides (NOₓ) and other pollutants in the exhaust gas.

Optical applications: Used in the manufacture of optical devices such as windows for infrared detectors, infrared filters, laser mirrors and laser windows.

Electronic Device Manufacturing: In semiconductor manufacturing, it can be used as high dielectric constant (high – k) insulating film material to reduce the capacitance size in integrated circuits and improve the integration and performance of devices.

In the electronics industry: Cerium oxide is also commonly used as a polishing material and as an electrolyte in fuel cells.

Packaging and Storage

Cerium oxide granules are typically packed in bottles or sealed bags, with inner layers using anti-static bags if necessary, and cushioning materials to prevent moisture absorption, caking, or damage during transportation. The packaging clearly indicate the product name, specifications, net weight, batch number, and handling instructions for proper transport and management.

Cerium oxide granules should be stored in a dry, ventilated, and cool warehouse, avoiding direct sunlight, high temperatures, and humid conditions. They should be kept away from oxidizing agents, acids, bases, and other reactive chemicals, and the packaging should remain intact to prevent moisture absorption, caking, or contamination, ensuring stable chemical properties and flowability.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

VI HALBLEITERMATERIAL GmbH (VIMATERIAL) employs a stringent quality assurance system to ensure the reliability of our product quality. Strict quality control is implemented throughout the entire production chain, and for defective products, we strictly enforce the principle of rework and redo. Each batch is released only after passing detailed specification tests.

Every batch of our materials is independently tested, and, if necessary, we send samples to certified companies for testing. We provide these documents and analysis certificates with the shipment to certify that our products meet the required standards.
