Cadmium Fluoride powder is a white crystalline, toxic inorganic compound powder, slightly soluble in water, soluble in inorganic acids and hydrofluoric acid, insoluble in pure ethanol and ammonia, melting point is 1110 ℃, boiling point is 1748 ℃, in the cathode ray tubes, laser crystals, phosphors, glass and other fields of application.

Applications

Optical material field:

Laser crystal production: It can be used as a raw material for the preparation of laser crystals and plays an important role in laser technology. Cadmium fluoride crystals doped with specific elements are able to produce laser light, which is used in laser equipment, such as laser cutting, laser ranging, and laser medicine.

Glass manufacturing: in the glass industry, cadmium fluoride can be used to improve the optical properties of glass, reduce the refractive index and dispersion of glass, make the glass more transparent and uniform, can be used to manufacture high-quality optical glass, special glass, etc., for example, applied to optical instruments, eyeglasses lenses, camera lenses and other products.
