Bismuth Telluride powder is an important semiconductor material with unique physicochemical properties and a wide range of applications.

Basic Information:

Chemical composition: It is composed of two elements, bismuth (Bi) and tellurium (Te), in the ratio of 2:3.
Crystal structure: belongs to the triangular crystal system, with layer structure, this structure makes the material have anisotropic physical properties in some directions.
Molecular weight: approximately 800.76.
Appearance: usually a grey powder.
Density: Relatively high, approx. 7.642 – 7.8587 g/cm³.
Melting point: approx. 575 – 585°C.

Chemical Properties:

Stability: it is more stable at room temperature and pressure, but in some specific chemical environments, such as strong acids and bases, chemical reactions may occur.

Solubility: soluble in ethanol, insoluble in water.

Application field:

Thermoelectric field: it is one of the best-performing room temperature thermoelectric materials available, and can be used to make thermoelectric power generation devices and electronic refrigeration equipment. For example, it can be applied to small chillers, heat sinks for electronic devices, and temperature control devices in some special environments.

Temperature sensor field: Bismuth Telluride Due to its sensitivity to temperature changes, it can be used to manufacture high-precision temperature sensors, which have important applications in industrial production, medical equipment, environmental monitoring and other fields.

Photodetector field: it can be used to manufacture long-wave infrared light thermoelectric detectors, which play a role in infrared imaging, security monitoring, aerospace and other fields.
