Production process:
Sodium thermal reduction method: this is a common method of producing tantalum metal powder, the use of potassium fluorotantalate under the protection of hydrogen, with metal sodium reduction, the reaction temperature is generally in the 577 – 627 ℃, the method can be obtained with high purity tantalum powder.
Hydrogen embrittlement method: Tantalum metal powder is obtained by hydrogenating tantalum metal to make it brittle, followed by processes such as crushing and grinding.
Molten Salt Electrolysis Method: Tantalum metal powder can be obtained from the cathode by using a certain proportion of potassium chloride, potassium fluoride and potassium fluorotantalate to form a molten salt electrolyte, which is electrolyzed in an electrolytic tank.
