Molybdenum metal foil is a kind of metal foil with high melting point, high strength and hardness, good thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity, low coefficient of thermal expansion, excellent corrosion resistance and good flexibility, etc. It is prepared by rolling process or chemical vapor deposition method, and is widely used in the fields of electronics, optics, aviation and aerospace, chemical industry, medical care, energy and so on.

Properties

Melting point: about 2620℃-2623℃.

Boiling point: about 4639℃-5560℃.

Density: 10.2g/cm³.

Resistivity: about 0.05Ω・mm²/m at room temperature, even less than 0.5Ω・mm² at 1500℃.

Coefficient of Thermal Expansion: small, good thermal stability, small dimensional changes during temperature changes.

Mechanical properties: high hardness and strength, while compared with tungsten and other metals with better flexibility, to a certain extent, can be bent, folded and other processing operations.

Chemical properties: At room temperature and pressure, molybdenum foil does not react with air or water, but it is slowly oxidized under heating conditions.

Applications

Electronic industry: used in the manufacture of electronic tubes, transistors, integrated circuits and other electronic components such as electrodes, filaments, support structures and other parts, the use of its good electrical conductivity, high temperature resistance and stability, to protect the normal operation and performance of electronic devices. At the same time, molybdenum metal foil can also be used as an electronic encapsulation material to improve the heat dissipation performance and mechanical strength of the encapsulation structure.

Optical field: In the manufacture of optical instruments, molybdenum metal foil can be used to manufacture mirrors, hoods, filters and other components of the support structure or substrate materials, with its low coefficient of thermal expansion and good processing performance, to ensure the precision and stability of optical components, improve the performance and reliability of optical instruments.
