Due to its large neutron absorption cross-section, hafnium effectively absorbs neutrons, thereby controlling the rate of nuclear reactions.<\/p>\n<p>Aerospace: Hafnium and its alloys are used in the manufacture of high-temperature components for aerospace engines, such as blades and combustion chambers.<\/p>\n<p>Electronics industry: hafnium can be used to manufacture cathode materials for electron tubes, to improve the emission performance and life of electron tubes.
